Joburg Scorecard
About

Who we are

Joburg Scorecard is an independent, non-partisan civic-data project that grades the City of Johannesburg's service delivery using only verifiable public data. We publish the methodology, the raw inputs, and the workings — grades are computed by a script that no one at the project can override.

The charter

  1. 01We grade services, not parties or people.
  2. 02Government-data-first sourcing.
  3. 03If we can't source it, we don't publish it.
  4. 04Right of reply, 10 working days before publication.
  5. 05Corrections logged in a public changelog.
  6. 06Constructive framing: what would move this grade.
  7. 07Independent advisory panel reviews methodology annually.
